The photos in this collection are top notch, establishing Shinoyama as one of the foremost photographers of the male nude. However, the publisher of this edition has ruined them. Of the approximately 75 photos reproduced, about 25 are very poorly bound down the center. Futhermore, the binding is deep and there is no boarder provided around any of the photos so that about 10% of each image in the book is turned into the binding, making it impossible to appreciate them as they were meant to be seen. It is depressing that the publisher of such an important book could exhibit such poor judgement. If an edition of this book appears which is properly bound, it will undoubtedly deserve five stars. However, I recommend anyone seriously interested in Shinoyama's work to forgo this edition.

Excellent male celebrity photo collection I've ever seen. It's pity that this is reprint version of the original book-White Room. It's smaller, but added some photos that didn't show up in White Room. I think you may try to get White Room in second-hand bookshop.
